As the only possible applicant in the field of fire protection, the vfdb regularly applies for German pavilions at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
"German Pavilion" is the name given to the official joint stand of German companies at trade fairs worldwide as part of the German government's foreign trade fair program. As exhibitors, German companies, for example from the security, protection and rescue sector, present their products and services there under the "made in Germany" brand.
In the past, for example, this has already been successfully applied for and carried out for afac (Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council), which takes place in Australia.
The afac is the largest and most important trade show for fire and emergency services on the smallest continent on earth. Every year, decision-makers from fire departments, administrations and organizations meet at a major trade congress and the associated afac exhibition. The afac is an offshoot of the Interschutz and brings German know-how in fire protection to Australia. The afac grows every year in terms of the number of exhibitors and exhibition space and thus offers very good entry opportunities into the Australian market. Previous participants of the joint stands have already been able to find Australian partners and develop new business activities.
